Kelly the concerned - November 12

I am having twins, and just found out some things that make me extremely uncomfortable with my facog.1.he is insisting that I should have a c-section.2They insulted me by insisting that I need a drug test for my surgery.#I have had symptoms of preterm labor and he says its normal.I do not trust hom and I dont want him as my doctor anymore, now im in my 8th month and want to switch.is is too late to get away from him?

Congrats! on your twins...I would say if your not comfy try to find someone else...if your already in your 8th month thats gonna be hard to do...did you ask him why you have to have a drug test..I have never heard of that just because of surgery..I had surgery a month ago and didnt have a drug test (I'm 18 weeks pregnant) though of course it was not a c section but it was still surgery and I had to go under anesthesia(sp). I did read that it is very common to have a c section with multiple births...most of the time at least one of the baby's is not presenting correctly(breech or what have you) so I dont necessarily think he saying that...a lot of multiple births(even twins) are delivered by c section before the 40th week...do what you feel is best though...if you are not comfy with it then try to locate a different doc...good luck..

NO WAY get out of there if you are uncomfortable. You have the right to see a different doctor and trust me, you want one you are comfortable with. I will always regret not switching doc's when i was in a similar situation. I had a horrible birth experience, and I dont want anyone else to have to go through that. Get out of there and find a good doc
