About Blood Pregnancy Tests Important Info

Some of the posts from various women claim to have had a blood test which was negative yet they were actually pregnant. I was baffled by this so I found this bit of info about one type of test being less accurate than the other: ----- Blood pregnancy tests can be quant_tative as well as qualitative. A quant_tative blood pregnancy test (or the beta hCG test) measures the exact amount of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in the blood. This means it can pick up very small amounts of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), making it a very accurate test. A qualitative human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) blood test gives a simple yes or no answer to whether you are pregnant. This test is more like a urine test in terms of its accuracy.

Nothing in life is fool-proof. Although it is possible you aren't pregnant, if you really feel like you are, have a blood test done somewhere else. Maybe go straight to the hospital and bypa__s the doctor's office.

Emma, they can be wrong as my post states. One type is similar to a urine test and the other is more accurate. I have no idea which clinics use which type but it is a possible explanation about why some people have been pregnant and had negative blood test results. I was always shocked when I read those posts b/c I never knew there were 2 types.
