I WAS WONDERING IN OTHERS EXPERIENCES HOW SOON YOUR PERIOD SHOULD RESUME IF YOU HAVE A VAGINAL CHILDBIRTH WITH OUT COMPLICATIONS, AND ARE NOT b ___st FEEDING. MY BABY IS SIX WEEKS BUT I DONT HAVE MY POSTPARDUM CHECK UP UNTIL JAN 20TH, AND I HAVE HAD SEX LIKE FOUR TIMES, AND HAVENT STARTED BIRTH CONTROL. I KNOW, I KNOW BAD ME, PLEASE DONT BE MEAN, I KNOW ITS MY FAULT. BUT MY QUESTION IS HOW SOON AFTER YOU HAVE A BABY SHOULD YOU START YOUR PERIOD AND WHEN CAN YOU GET PREGNANT?

I was told you can ovulate as soon as 3 days after birth. starting BC wont make your period come sooner but it will regulate it again when you do start it. Mine came 3 or 4 wks after I had him I think. your very first period after is heavier than what is normal for you and may last longer.mine went like 13 days instead of 5-7.I started my BC before I had gotten my period, and my period had came in the middle of the pack, so i just kept taking it, and I got another period at the end of it. So now I am all regular and will just get another period when I should have it.

I didnt stop bleeding until like four weeks after I had the baby, but by like the third week it was very light. And since then I havent started my perio, and it will almost be seven weeks since I had her, so do you think maybe I should of started my period by now, or not really because I didnt stop bleeding until two weeks ago from having the baby?

I wouldn't stress about it. I have heard it can take up to 13 wks to get it back. even up to a yr if you are b___stfeeding
