Hello ladies, My ovulation date was on the 31st of october, but I had s_x Nov, 1st, 2nd and 4th. Do I still have a chance to get pregnant after the expected ovulation date has passed?

Well sperm can live in for a couple days, so even if you are not ovulating at the time of having s_x, you can still get pregnant I think it's with the next 48 hours if you begin to ovulate.

Hmm. Well to tell you the truth I have no idea! lol I thought you could get pregnant anytime! An OBGYN would know the answer to this. :)

hi - November 6

i am not sure how long it takes for the egg to expell, but i am pretty sure that if you had unprotected intercourse the day after your ovulation, there is a huge change of getting pregnant. sperm can live up to 5 days if there is "fertile" mucus present. Are you sure you ovulated on the 31? the reason to why some say that you can get pregnant at any time of the month is because you can ovulate at anytime of the month depending on stress level etc. there are many other signs to find out when you are ovulating; ewcm and temping. let us know what happens.

you should ideally have s_x the days BEFORE ovulation so that the sperm (which lives up to 5 days) is there when the egg drops to meet it. If you have s_x AFTER ovulation you have to hope that the egg took a day or two to drop (I don't know how long it takes) but if the egg drops and there is no sperm there you will get your period.

Monet, do you KNOW you ovulated on the 31 or is that an estimation based on cycle length? If you took a ovulation prediction kit and it said you ovulated on 31, your only chance would be the 1rst ... and that is slim. An egg only lives for 12 to 24 hours after ovulation. (Sperm does live for up to 5 days though...so next time make sure to have s_x before ovulation, not after...) best of luck to you.
