Sounds like you are experiencing symptoms of pregnancy and had unprotected s_x in your fertile window last month. Which Tuesday are you talking about? Tuesday 14th Sept? There's no way any test is going to show positive yet. Started Tuesday 7th but feel pregnant? Yes, you might have some bleeding at period time and still be pregnant. Yes, the hpt test can give negatives early on. The blood test is more accurate. It sounds as though you may be trying to get a decision in too much of a hurry. Sore b___bs, tired, nausea, peeing more, bowel changes, emotional, creamy discharge - if you have a bunch of these you don't need a test, you a prenatal consult. All the best!

i am going to start my period this coming tuesday, sept. 14th. I had s_x the first of Sept., and took the home pregnancy test on the 8th of sept.?

You had s_x right at the most fertile time, 14 days before your expected period. If you conceived, implantation would have been in the last day or two. You would barely be noticing any symptoms. The hpt would not show anything at all. Wait at least until your period is due. I would suggest waiting another week after that. If your period has not come by Sept 21st and you have some of the symptoms above then take another pregnancy test, being sure to use first morning pee as instructed. If the test is negative but you still have symptoms, repeat the test at the end of the month. If you turn out to be pregnant, make an appointment to start pre-natal care.
