Antihistamines When Pregnant

I suffer with hayfever and have dust and animal hair allergies. I'm particularly suffering at the moment as we're moving house and cleaning and sorting this is creating lots of dust. Does anyone know whether it is safe to take antihistamines for my allergoes when pregnant? Thanks

I think you would be safest to talk to a doctor before taking any medication.

as stated in a phamplet that I have from my doctor.. says it is safe to take Chlor-tripolon and Benadryl... if they don't help consult your doctor. you can also call a company called motherisk for there advice as well....

i have read on the internet that benadryl is okay - of course, it'll knock you out! hope you feel better!

I was at the doctors last week sick as a dog with bronchitis and sinus - however, I thought I was PG - so I told the doctor I didn't know what to take - her reply: (1)Sudafed (only little red pill) NOT: Sudafed Cold & Sinus (2) Tylenol (3) Robitussin - plain Robitussin NOTHING WITH INITIALS ie.; Robitussin DM is a no no.

I was told benadryl, but you should ask your doc to be on the safe side.
