Anyone In Same Boat

Okay I was on my fourth pregnancy and I had the AFP's done, came up borderline positive, got retested and also came up positive borderline so I was to go and get a level2 ultrasound done. The day I went I was almost 19 weeks and that day I found out my baby had died. I went on to have the baby by labor and delivery. It was a boy nothing physically wrong but now I am waiting for all the test results to come back. Placenta, umbillical cord and cells from his leg. The thing is this pregnancy was totally different from my other 3 whom are perfectly fine and all boys. Now I thought that this baby was a girl because I was so sick. Stomach problems, asthma really bad and heart problems. They say that either he was sick and gave it to me or that I picked up something and gave it to him. Now besides waiting for answers I am also grieving intensely. He was just born Jan.7. So if anyone has any advice please help me. Oh and the baby from the ultrasound was measuring 3 weeks behind and one of my choices was a DNC but seeing the baby on the ultrasound as a whole I could not bring myself to do it. Also, I had a Baptism, funeral and in the spring a burial. So just in case there are any negative comments about what I did please keep them to yourself. Thanks a bunch.

Hi Resa - January 19

I don't really have any advise I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I had two miscarriages in 2004 and it was very painful so I can imagine what you are feeling and again I am very sorry for your loss and pain. Please keep us updated on how you are. BTW, when it comes to the DNC, I agree with you, there is no way I could have done that either. Especially after seeing the baby like you did. They are pretty well developed at 19 weeks. Keep your head up and trust in God. I will pray for you. God bless.

I truly dont know what to say either. Im sorry....I would have done the same thing you did. I am against abortion 110%. Alot of people dont relize how soon in pregnancy the baby has a heart beat and is alittle person. I hope you and your family recover from your loss and maybe you guys can try again soon. Take care.
