Hi Ladies! I am new to the Forum and interested in starting a new thread. The current ones are great but seem to have a lot of history, and I thought some of us newbies might like to start our own. Any thoughts? We could call it "Waiting for our Babies" part one :-) My Husband have been TTC for 3 months and are currently in the middle of month 4. Hopefully this will be it, but I would love to go through it with others in our position. Please respond :-) Gianna

Thanks Gla__sChicky - if you want to hop on a new thread and share stories, let me know :-)

Here's mine: I am 26 years old and my husband is 28. We have been married for 2.5 years and are extremely happy together! I recently graduated from law school (in May) and pa__sed my bar exam. I will begin working soon and we are excited at the thought of being able to expand our family. We have been TTC for several months (as mentioned above) but did not really start focusing on it until now. We have kicked around the idea since getting married but really wanted to wait until my schooling was complete. Now we are ready to roll. We are not telling anyone we are trying (even though we get asked all the time) because (1) I think it is none of their business, and (2) because I don't want to have the pressure of people always waiting for me to announce the big news. I had cervical dysplasia a few years ago which was treated (through a laser procedure and then a LEEP) so it makes me a little nervous that it could take a while - hopefully not :-) Hope to share stories!

Heya! I just got married on Sept 1, 2007, I'm 24 and my husband is 28, we've been together almost 4 years. We have only known about me being pregnant for a couple of weeks and still don't know how far along I am. We're both thrilled even though it was unplanned. I wanted to go back to school for nursing but I guess that has to wait, kids are more fun than school! I have an ultrasound in 2 weeks, hopefully that will help with some worries of mine. Good luck in getting a positive result!

Thanks so much and congrats on your pregnancy! That is SOOOO exciting - what a wonderful wedding gift for the two of you! Good fortune on your ultrasound and send an update as to how it goes and how far along you are. Have you told your family and friends yet? I read an article recently that had some fun ideas on how to tell the family :-) Let me know if you want some of the ideas :-)

Hello GiannaJ, I am quite new to this as well and would love to join up with you. I am 26 and my husband is 33 and we have a 3 year old daughter, and got married in 2005. At the moment I am waiting to find out if I am pregnant again, I am 3 weeks late and had a couple of negative tests, but getting all the symptons. Congrtas to Gla__sychicky for getting married recently and congrats again on the baby. Where is everyone from.

Hello! Thank goodness for newbies! My hubby and I are 22, and have been married for 2 years as of 10-15. We're not exactly TTC yet, but I've been having some strange symptoms this past week, and I think I may be PG, but only time will tell. Until then I'm trying not to go crazy with excitement. I don't want to work myself up to be disappointed. I love chatting with other ladies to keep the sanity and learn. :)

Hi GiannaJ I would LOVE to hear some of the ideas for breaking the news to my family, I'm thinking of something creative because if all goes well with this pregnancy I want to break the news on christmas! I'm originally from South Africa but have been living in Ontario Canada for almost 10 years, I miss my family. Thank you to everyone, it's nice to meet some new friends on here and we can all share our experiences:)

hey gianna hope you don't mind me jummping in but when i see that you had also had that cervical dysplasia i just wanted to say i know what you mean i had it about 6 or 7 years ago and i ask my obgyn if that has anything to do with me not being pregnant yet and he said no but you always have to think !!!

wantingbabytwo - October 24

hey Gla__s how about you wrap eveyone a little present and have them open it at the same time and have it read '" were pregnant" and congrad and good luck to you and your husband!

Gla__schicky - October 24

Heya! We were planning to do that on Christmas but the doc puts me between 6-8 weeks and around christmas would be nearing the 4 month mark. I ended up telling my parents last night and they were happy. It was purely on advice from the doctor who thought that my discomfort might be hereditary. It's a pity we're not being creative anymore but I need the support. Hope you're doing well:)

Congrats on telling your family Gla__s - how did they react? I am constantly thinking about how excited everyone would be if I dropped that bomb on them - hopefully I will have a chance to do it soon! Sorry I did not get back to you with ideas - I went out of town for a few days and am now back on the forum so I totally dropped the ball!!! Anywho, if anyone else ever wants to get creative then let me know - I have a few ideas up my sleeve :-) And I TOTALLY know what you mean WantingBabyTwo - the doctors all told me that the dysplasia will not impact getting pregnant but my mind is always going back there when AF shows up each month. Geez, I just want so badly to see a BFP - I am about 10 days out from AF so I am trying to not really think about it until it gets closer. How are you all doing?

GiannaJ - October 24

MapleMom - how long until you can test? Any good news yet???

Gla__schicky - October 24

Heya! Well both my parents thought we were joking of course. I don't think anything prepares them for hearing that their babies are making babies! I go for a dating ultrasound on November 1st I can't wait! I'm absolutely HATING how I feel at the moment though:(

MapleMom - October 26

Tested yesterday. Neg. Oh well.... another month of torture. I love the anticipation, but I guess you have to leave room for the disappointment. It can't last forever, right? :)

Gla__schicky - October 26

Hey MapleMom, good luck for next time, i would gladly hand over my pregnancy for you if I could as I could use a little more time to find a bigger place. Keep in touch and best of luck
