i have been with my husband for 5 years and we have been married for 2. we have just decided that we are both ready to have a baby. we have always loved kids and wanted them and now that is is going to happen i am finding that i am a bit scarded about the idea. what happends if i cant get preggers and what happends if i do and something is wrong with him/her. i am an auntie of 8 and been there for all my siblings but this time is different, can someone tell if i'm just being silly or is it normal to worry about eveything when ttc.

I've also been w/ my guy for 5yrs and for the past yr i was always saying we can't pregnant, we'll have to adopt etc, etc.... But just out of no where we find out were pregnant.... So yeah those feelings are normal.............But you should try and think of positive thoughts rather than negative..It just might help.Good Luck to you both

You are not silly at all. I think those of us who worry the most are the ones who are truely ready to make the commitment to children. I've been married for 2 years and we just decided to start "having fun" and see what happens. I couldn't be more terrified - but - I love my husband and I can imagine myself having a baby. It's normal to worry about problems and complications but rest a__sured that today's medicine is very good. I'm scared too - of all the unknown. But that's when the best part of life happens... in the unknown. Try to relax. It sounds like you are going to be a GREAT mom!
