Baby Swings

How long does a baby actually use a baby swing? I was looking online and it said up to 25 lbs so I was wondering if that was 3, 6, or 9 months, can someone help me visualize? TIA

Hate to say it, but my son never used his at all. I think it has a lot to do with the individual baby as to how long they will use one, if at all. As far as the weight thing goes I would think 25 lbs would take you all the way to a year.

Maybe i just have big kids but I believe my first son was about 5 months to 6 months weighing 20lbs so somewhere in there would be my guess.

I correct myself he was 18lbs at 6 months, and 22 at 10months. Baby swings though usually depend on when the baby starts grabbing the bar while he/she is in the swing cause then they are too big.

When the baby gets big enough, they can kick their feet and make the swing stop. I think I used the swing (almost constantly) until my daughter was about 6 months. After that we got an exersaucer, it was great too.

I spent £100 on one from my daughter. It played music and swung itself gently. I loved it, but she didn't - at all. It has never been used. Was a complete waste of money. Hopefully this baby will like it.
