Has anyone ever been told that the baby is probably about 6lbs. at 34 weeks, and it looks like it's going to be a big one, then it was at least under 9lbs. when born?

No, but I just had an ultrasound at 34 weeks and they told me she is 6lbs 3 oz already! AH!! My doc told me the measurements are very accurate. Of course that means it could be bigger, but I'm praying for smaller. HA! Good luck! My doc was not very nice about it either. He basically told me it is my fault that I'm having a big baby. (I don't believe that!)

How is it your fault that you're having a big baby, unless you've been eating nothing but sweets?? He's nuts! Mine just asked how big my others were. I ate healthy totally with my others, and they were 8lbs. Some just have bigger babies I guess.

Yeah I agree and I have been eatting healty and walking alot. He was just rude! And my last response should have said that the measurements aren't very accurate. Oops preggo brain!

Hello, I am also 34 weeks and at my appt a couple days ago the dr. told me the same thing, that the baby was already 6lbs and he was going to be a good size baby. But he also told me they probably wont make me wait until my dd to deliver, so if I dont go into labor soon hopefully they will induce me. I do wish though that I just go into labor naturally anytime at 37 weeks. Oh and about your dr.'s acting rude about the babies weight, that sux because it seemed as if my dr. was happy about my baby's growth.
