hmmm, D, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but not only does yer bb pop, but labor is less than comfortable from what I hear. :) The good part is you afterwards get all the ice cream you can eat!! oh wait, that's tonsils, with labor you have this thing called a "sits bath" to keep the sutures clean, and no I'm not telling you why or where you may get sutures.

I DOOON'T WAAANT MINE TO POP!!! I get goosebum!ps just to think about it!!! There is something about this that I really really don't like!!! Like if all this that is happening is not enough!! is there a chance it may not pop?!?!

My mom's ingenius suggestion if your belly b___ton does pop - Band Aid. She is the un-official spokesperson for band aids, she said if mine pops that since I will be (mostly) wearing shirts that cover my pregnant belly, no one would even know! So, Leslie, even if yours does pop out, there is hope!! And it does go back after you have the baby so it's only a temporary thing.

Hey, I have heard a lot about labor.... (Scary enough, I have rudimentary training in how to a__sist with an emergency delivery...) When I first got married, I read about 5 books on pregnancy and childbirth - not that that consists of true knowledge - I figured out that when I graduated from college knowing so much, then got my first job and realized 99% of the learning had no application... Needless to say, it took 8 years for me to get the nerve to quit the birth control. Its just this belly b___ton thing that's new to me, somehow in all the books and websites I've examined, I missed that detail... (what else have I missed??) I've been sitting here examining my belly b___ton. Its pretty deep normally, and it does kinda look wierd now... But I think its the elastic on these maternity pants stretching it...that and I'm pulling on it trying to look... I guess the positive thing is, once it pops out I can give it a more thorough cleaning than its had in awhile.... Hey, you know, I bet I could get that ice cream anyway.... I work in the hospital I'll deliver in, so I know the whole dietary staff. hmmm....

I thought of something just as I read where you said it in your post, Missy! My mom has an innie! that means if hers popped, it went back! It gives me the creeps to think of it popping, though.

D, just chuckling here picturing you. yer sitting there first pulling and tugging on your bb, then looking around for what you can stuff in it so it doesn't pop out, all the while with a worried look on your face. lol

toes - add this to the picture, I'm sitting in my desk at work.... with my feet up on the desk... in front of a large window... Hey - I didn't look first to see if anyone was out there - I hope not. ;-)

D, you know about pooping in the table right?!?! In my situation I think it would had been best if I had gone to labour without knowing!!

D - April 8

leslie - yeah... I heard about that... They always told me it was pretty gross, but I'd thought mostly about the blood... I guess if these people take up careers in baby catching, that's what my OB's 2-year old daughter calls it... she goes around catching her dolls, its awful cute - wow I get distracted easily - back to the careers, I'm sure they voluntarily chose this department / field to work in, so if they see my poo, that's their fault!

Missy - April 8

Leslie you crack me up with the pooping on the table bit!! D - who cares if anyone saw you - I make my fiance examine my belly b___ton, hips, as* and chest on a regular basis to tell me what is going on - I have a biased opinion of myself, so I look to someone who is scared to tell me bad things to tell me everything is wonderful...hmm, I wonder if he is being honest.........Oh yea and I am looking forward to giving my belly b___ton a good cleaning too - you never know what may be lurking in there!!

D - April 8

Missy - I really don't care what anyone would see, I just thought it would enhance toes vision... There are some aspects of maintenance and security guys (one of whom is my BIL) seeing that wouldn't be so great, though!
