I just had my first drs. appointment and started on prenatal vitamins. My Dr. said it really doesn't matter which brand or generic vs. name brand. Does everyone agree with this? I just went to the store and tried to find the one that had the most in it. I ended up getting Prenatal by OneSource

The first time I went into the pharmacy to buy prenatal vitamins I asked to see both the name brand (materna) and the drug store brand. I found that the amounts of everything were the same, but the drug store brand was higher in vitamin C and one of the B vitamins so i got those.. they were about half the price of the name brand.

I highly recommend Enfamils brand it is called Expecta Lipil. I was not able to swallow other large pills and when I did finally get them down I felt like I could taste them all day, I tried the Expecta and it was great! It is recommended to take it even while nursing!

The generic brands are normally just as good and you save that extra money. I'm on Natura-eze...and I find them pretty good.

This is no joke, my prenatal vitamins would make me sick so I am now taking 2 seasame street chewables a day plus 2 Viactiv calcium supplements, which is what I did with my first son and he was very healthy beautiful 8lb baby. :-) just a thought..
