Birth Control And Pregnancy

I have been on the pill for over a year now, I take it everyday at the same time and I have never missed a pill. My boyfriend and I have intercourse often; however, we still use the "pull out method" in addition to the pill. I woke up this morning with very tender br___ts. I usually have tender br___ts near my period but my period isnt due for a little over a week. Even though I take the pill religiously, could I still be pregnant? Could they just be sore from slight stimulation?

I think you should be okay... of course, the pill is only 99% accurate, but since you are also doing the withdrawl method I would think it is highly unlikely you will get pregnant. THere could be a range of things that are making your b___sts tender. Hope all is well!

hi carrie - November 29

it is possible that you could be pregnant (in fact...i have a friend that just found out the she is pregnant, and she too took the pill religiously), however i do have to agree with kim that if in addition to using the pill, that you are also using the withdrawl method that you could be ok...however, do you know if your bf/dh, could have said that he pulled out in time, when he didnt actually? good luck to you, and i hope that everything turns out ok.

You should be ok. The pill is a very effective method of birth control. If your b___sts are not sore for days then I would not worry. Because you still take extra precautions with the pullout method, I dont think you should worry all that much.
