Bleeding After A Pap Smear

I just came home from my physical and had a pap smear (I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant) and I am bledding a bit...more than before I was pregnant. Is bleeding normal, especially more than usual now that I'm pregnant??

when I went for my first check up my Dr. warned me there might be some bleeding from the physical because your cervix are quiet sensitive during pregnancy and physicals like that can cause some bleeding. But it should no be more than usual. I never did bleed with this pregnancy. Do you have any pain at all? Is your Dr office still open for you to call?

No pain at all, and this is the first bleeding I've had. Unfortunately, my doctor's office isn't open.

sherian smart if u screwed up on ur birth control your period will come back in a few weeks mine did. but the vomiting u just might be coming down with something or it was something u ate and the systpoms are the same. dont worry ull be fine if u dont get ur period in a mnth from this one ur having now then see ur doc and get a prego test. hope this helps

The reason for the bleeding after a pap smear is that your cervix is more soft when you are pregnant. It is completely normal. I was spotting for a few hours after my pap.
