I have really sensitive nipples. I was just wondering if anyone else has this issue to and has br___tfed? I am thinking maybe a pump would work better. Any thoughts?

it thoroughly depends on the baby and the mother; for some women in hurts, some it doesn't at all. Some babies know how to latch on right away, some don't--I was lucky, my son caught on while still in the hospital! Not all are so lucky. I'd say just try it and see how it goes--but definitely have a pump on hand!!

I am very sensitive and b___stfed for 9 mos. You can do it. The pump was worse than the feeding itself. I used nipple shields until I felt more comfortable. I also found a lactation consultant from the hospital who helped me make sure my son was latched on correctly to help with the pain. Just so you know, it was painful for the first couple months, but only when he latched on. Hope it works out for you. It really is an amazing experience and so good for the baby.

I used a pump, my baby never latched on. I used avent isis b___st pump. It was incredible. I had tried several others and none of them worked for me the way this one did.
