C Section The Worst Or Not

People have told me c-sections are the worst however, they have never really clarified whether or not the worst part is the actual c-section or the healing process afterwards. I have to have one and am really scared that I am going to feel the whole c-section part of it. I can handle the pain afterwards. Please help.

GETTING THE EPIDURL IS NOT THAT BAD. BUT THE RECOVERY IS VERY HARD MENTALY. BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE MORE TIME TO LOOSE ALL THE WEIGHT. AND YOUR STOMACH WILL NOT LOOK THE SAME AGIAN. AND TRYING TO TAKE YOUR FIRST POOP AFTER IS LIKE GIVING BIRTH. AND THE PAIN IS SOMETHING YOU CAN'T AMAGINE. SO DONT SAY THAT YOU CAN HADLE IT IF YOU NEVER WENT THROUGH IT! YOU CAN'T GO UP OR DOWN ANYTHING. IT TOOK ME 3 MONTHS TO RECOVER AND YR AND HALF TO LOOSE MOST OF THE WEIGHT. I JUST REMEMBER THE PAIN!!!!!!

JUST GIVE YOU SELF PLENTY OF TIME TO RECOVER! AND DONT PUSH YOUR SELF!! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE ONE TO BEGIN WITH? GOOD LUCK

I had a c-section and the pain/healing was not that bad. I really did not consider the pain from healing as unimagineable-- I have felt worse. I would not worry about it. YOU CAN HANDLE IT and it is good to go into it with a positive outlook. Woman heal differently and have different thresholds of pain. You will be fine.

I forgot to mention that I lost my weight in 5 months but I was in great shape prior to getting pregnant. After my c-section I began exercising when my doctor said I could (I did step aroebics) and I ate healthy but smaller portions. The important part is to realize that it took you 9 months to put the weight on so you are not going to take it off overnight.

I think that if you give birth naturally is just as bad. Especially when you rip front to back and have to get st_tches. I have a friend that has had a c-section and a natural birht. she said that they were abou the same

I preferred my c-section over my natural birth. I have a small v____al opening and I tore so bad. The tear went through to my rectum. It took longer for me to heal from my natural birth.

I have no concern about what my stomach will look like afterwards. I do not wear bikini's and my husband loves me unconditionally. I feel better now. Thanks ladies.

Hi Melinda, I was a high-risk pregnancy and had to have a c-section also. I was also very scared but I can a__sure you that it is not that bad. You will not feel the actual c-section and the healing afterwards is painful but not horrible. The first 5 days are the worst but you will get pain meds that will help with the pain, good luck and God bless you and your new baby.
