Can My Dog Hurt My 16 Week Fetus By Jumping On My Belly

i just got a rescue dog, he's small, 9 kilos but he keeps jumping on to the couch and climbing on me, it hurts my belly when he does this. suddenly i've been panicking that he's bounced on the baby and broken its little legs or arms. i know the sac is strong but is it possible that this could happen? or could it dislodge the placenta?

it's definitely not good for the baby. i would train him now to stop with the jumping before he gets any bigger and does real damage.

When I was pregnant with my dd, my 20 lb cat used to jump on my tummy every morning. I finally got him to stop because it was irritating and not a good way to wake up. However, my dd was fine... I even got a small shock from an electric fence at 6 months and she was fine. More than likely your baby is fine, but its best to train him not to do it just in case. Plus its unconfortable for you so he should be taught some manners soon. Easier said than done I know, good luck!
