can you be pregnant and still have your period and all the cramps? i think the symptoms for pregnancy are the same as having your period

Two of my friends both got their periods even after a positive hpt. They both got theirs for the first two months and had no problems. If I recall they said they were lighter than usual though.

Hi, The last time I had s_x was on May 9th and I didn't use protection. 13 days later I started my period and I am not a regular, it was light and normally they are very heavy. I took a pregnancy test almost a month ago and it turned up positive and for some reason I keep thinking that I am pregnant then I took two more and they were negitive and this last period I have which started a week ago was VERY light first two days there was a lil more than the next few days it spotted and did nothing and only lasted 5 days. I am not sure what to do, my friends tell me I should see a docotor. I know you can still have your periods and be prenant But which test result should I really trust??

NG you probably had an early miscarriage...if you get a positive and then later get a negative that usually means an early miscarriage. True false positives are REALLY rare.

I had my period the first month after I got pregnant. Except it wasn't a normal period. TONS of blood and tissue, TONS of cramping, went to ER, baby was fine. This type of bleeding is usually a__sociated with a miscarriage, so that's why we were shocked (but very happy) to know that baby was ok. Wait until your period is over, and then test, just to be sure.
