Can you take Advil for headaches while pregnant?

I'm a__suming you CANNOT, since they say to stay away from Ibuprofen(Advil, Motrin) when TTC. It should be the same for one who is already pregnant.....shouldn't it? Sorry, that's all I know.

If you are first trimester try not to take anything, after that aspirin is ok.

No, asprin is not okay...asprin thins the blood. You're not supposed to take advil either. Tylenol is safe throughout pregnancy. If your headache doesn't respond to tylenol alone, try some caffeine with it. If that doesn't take care of your migraine, call your doctor and they can prescribe something stronger. Any time you have a question about the safety of a medication, you can look it up on safefetus.com

I dont think so...My RN friend told me I can only take Tylenol and not Advil or Motrin....coz both those drugs have something that Im not suppose to take or something like that.

MY dr. gave me a list of whats safe to take, this is what it says: Tylenol (regular or extra strength), Robitussin DM, Benadryl, Chloroseptic spray, pepto-bismol, kaopectate and it says Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) is safe but not in the first trimester. It says no Aspirin or ibuprofen during pregnancy. This should be helpful!

i took aleve when i was pregnant in one of my previous pregnancy and it caused me to miscarry...if i'm not mistaken, aleve, advil, and motrin are blood thinners...i was only able to have tylenol but i also found out that the reason why i was getting headaches was because i wasn't drinking enough water....i had to drink more than 32 oz a day to stay hydrated and keep from getting headaches
