Cant Stop Eating

Hiya i fine myself enjoying junk food more than the healthy food im forever eating crisp chocolate and all the other nasty stuff that gets you unhealthy..and im worried because im not giving my baby what it needs...but the thought of my dinner makes me keel over not because i cant stand the smell or the thought just because id rather have junk food instead and i never used to eat junk food like this and im worried :( i know it will get me over weight but can eating so much harm my baby?

I know the baby needs its vitamins, so if your taking your prenatals, you should be fine. I dont understand either why it is so much easier to eat junk then it is your normal dinner, lol. I hated sweets before I was pregnant, and now all of my snacks consist of pie, cake, donuts, any type of surgar, or chips. My baby is said to be healthy. Good luck, I dont think the amout of junk food intake will effect the baby, I think it is the lack of intake of vitamins the baby needs.

Kelly, I've been having the same problem. All the junk food is looking soooo yummy now days. The way I've been handling it is to first of all, make sure I take my prenatal every night! Next, I force myself to eat something healthy, telling myself that I can have the junk AFTER I eat the good stuff. I still eat the junk, but because I just ate something healthy, I'm not as hungry, therefore don't eat as much. I may eat a half a piece of chocolate cake for dessert instead of 3 pieces and considering it my dinner. I know how easy overindulging on junk is, but if you can find some healthy stuff that you're able to stomach it makes it a lot easier in the long run. For me it's apples, cottage cheese w/ pineapple and whole grain bagels (a lot of carbs, but lots of nutrients none the less). Good luck and happy health food hunting!

I'm the opposite. Any food that isn't fruit of veggie makes me sick to even think about. Yay for strawberries and lemonade.

try to mix the healthy with the unhealthy! Maybe chocolate coverd strawberries or bannanas, or a shake with real fruit in it, celery sticks with peanut b___ter. Or try to find fruit snaks with 100% fruit juice. May not be perfectly healthy, but its better than plain ol chocolate!! Hey- remember that chocolate is made from beans!! Seems to me it should quailfy as a veggie! Also has milk- calcium. lol. I try to look at it this way because it makes me feel better!! As everyone else said, take your prenatals and you should be fine.
