Cleaning The House

Is it bad for us to be cleaning the house and inhaling all those chemicals. I do ventilate the room well and make sure that the smell does not overwhelm me, but I am starting to worry about harming the baby. I have to clean though - since I have become pregnant I have become such a neat freak. Any comments?

I would suggest using milder products. No bleaches or ammonias. That is what I have done. Plus I make my hubby clean his own bathroom that way that is one area i dont have to do.

I agree with MM, just avoid the harsh chemicals like bleach and amonia. There are plenty of cleaning products out there that will do the trick without overwhelming your senses. Try some of the ones that have the "orange" label/scent. Target has a line of enviornmentally friendly cleaning products that I would imagine would be nearly odorless. For the tough jobs that need the harsher chemicals, get your significant other to do those. Just wait until the 3rd trimester, when you get into the "nesting phase." You think you're a neat freak now, just wait. :o)
