Could Lower Hcg Levels In Early Pregnancy Mean A Problem

My wife and I just found out we were pregnant about a week and a half ago, and according to the carts should have been about 4 weeks and five days along. The blood test came back with normal progesterone levels but the hcg level was 396, the follow up blood tests 2 days later was 646. Our OB/GYN didn't seem to think this was a problem (I have read that doubling can take 3 days), but I worry about the lower levels. Can anyone give my wife and I encouragement that these findings are normal? She miscarried many years ago and has been diagnosed with severe endometriosis (we are both very worried about an ectopic pregnancy). The Ob gave us more lab slips for additional blood draws but said that was up to us, as she didn't see a need for them. We have decided not to get them done, and just wait for the u/s next Thursday...But any words of encouragement to help us to not stress out until then would be greatly appreciated.

starsfan 598. I have a little boy but i have also had 2 miscarriages and it is a very scary time. I think her numbers sound great because if there was a problem they would be going down and not doubling. Try to think positive and everything should work out fine. Best of Luck!! LOTS OF BABY DUST!!!!!
