Abby is 3 1/2 months old. When is that junk going to go away??? At least she has hair and no one sees it! Also, is it normal for babies to spit up more than an hour after eating? We give Abby between 6-8 ounces of formula and that first morning feeding she is like a fountain. Thanks.

Amaya had it when she was about 2 months. We used baby oil and it didnt work, so we started bathing her everynight and scrubbing her head with the washcloth. We also use lotion on her head. If you take one of her baby brushes while she is in the bathtub, shampoo in hair and scrub really good with the brush. It went away after like 3 days and she had it really bad! Good luck

Thank you! We will try that. It is nasty stuff huh?!

It is nasty, and Amaya has BLACK hair www.amayajayne.com so you could see every little flake that was there. Also one more thing I forgot, we had to use the Johnson and Johnson Head to Toe for her body and head. They J&J shampoo just made it worse

Hey she is cute!

Hey JLo, the ped recommended that we add 1 tsp of rice cereal to the formula (per 2 ounces of form) to reduce the reflux. We did this at 1 month. Amaya's mom is right, a nightly bathing ritual will remove the cc.

Thanks E. We are going to start feeding her cereal shortly! I hope that helps...

If you add it to the formula, make sure you puncture the nipple to the same flow as what she is used to. I used a stage 2 nipple for milk with rice added and it seems to flow the same as the stage 1 nipples without rice added. Otherwise, they have to work too hard to get the milk and give up easily.

Hmmm you are a wealth of knowledge today E!

Try it today and you will notice a difference immediately:) Is her nose stuffy often? Aja's nose was, and it was due to the milk coming up often, and it would clog his nose. The rice helped reduce his congestion.

you guys! My baby is still baking but I can barely wait to be where you are, I have 9 weeks to go, but I so wish I had little Jaime in my arms already giving him baths and cereal and hugs and kisses!

E - August 22

Awww! Mary, he will be in your arms soon, and I cannot wait to hear that you are in labor. Please post when you are. You should have time. Initial labor is not as hectic as you might expect. I emailed tiffani when I was, and she posted for me. I was too busy shaving my legs and prepping myself for the delivery. I had to pack a cooler for my dh, too. I was so worried that he would need decent food while I was in labor. The things we worry about...

Mary, it is great to look forward to the baby! Just enjoy the time before he arrives as well. Life changes, but in a very good way!

Mary - August 22

A cooler ... that is a good idea. But then, DH will have to come home every couple of hours to take the dogs out so he can eat something here. But then again he should not leave my side just in case he misses the big moment ... we will need a dog sitter! :)

E - August 22

Mary, can you call a kennel or a friend to watch the dogs? Your dh will not want to go home. I had a c-section within 10 minutes of finding out that I needed one, in the middle of what I thought was a normal labor. Bam, they told me I needed a c-section and wheeled me away immediately. The baby was out 20 minutes later. Do you really want him to be gone should that happen? It is more common than you think.
