Daddy Vs Kitty

I'm 39 weeks pregnant. I know the risk factors of having a cat while pregnant, and Im quite cautious and dont go near the litter box. But, since I have gotten the cat it's very protective of me and my belly. He has swatted at my boyfriend several times to keep him away from me unless we are both petting him at the same time. Is this a natural thing for kitty to do?

I have two minature schnuazers and my youngest knows that I am pregnant. She is always sniffing my belly and lying on it..when my husband tries to kiss me she barks at him or kisses his face so much he has to back away for a minute and pet her first. With some animals I think it's normal for them...my other one does not really seem to notice.

hi - November 10

The cats are actually my husbands and yes i banished them outside when i first became pregnant over a year ago now. I am pregnant again and notice that the older cat who is a parent himself, likes to hang around me. he didn't with the first pregnancy but this time he is really cuddly with me and we have never been the best of friends. I used to shoot him with a water gun when we first meet because he was so mean to me. It seemed that every morning when i woke up I would have a kitty cat b___thole directly in my face--in sniffing distance. He was an evil kitty that I believe was once a man because he is also a peeping tom. He likes to sit in the bathroom while I am showering, waiting for the money shot when I get out. Anyway, I digress, he loves kittens and will act like a surrogate mother to them even letting them "nurse" from him. With this pregnancy he can't seem to get enough of me, he whines to be near me and wants little to do with my husband.
