So, I have my u/s tomorrow to see if baby has decided to grow again, cross your fingers he has.. if not, out he comes! This antenatal nurse that comes over said that if they decide to take him out, it'll be tomorrow, they wont wait until next week! Aaaahhh! She said to pack my bag, because form her experience, it looks like he's coming out for sure! Crap! I am not prepared for this! She also gave me a book of pictures of premature small babies! How sad and scary it is to look at! If I wasn't scared before, I sure am now! She said it was better to prepare myself, so I wasn't freaked out when I saw the baby! Sorry, freaked out anyways! Guess I'll be getting a c-section, anyone know how long I will be in the hospital for? How long is recovery for something like that anyways? Can you believe it? I've gained almost 45 lbs already, and the baby is only 3.2 lbs? Uuggghhhh!

Hi, I had a c/s and I was in the hospital for 3 days. I think Im going to have a c/s with this one too my down time wasnt long at all three-four days and I was up doing house chores, this time I think Im gonna take it easy and enjoy the down time after all it before you know it its up every other hour with a crying baby!! good luck to you both!

That's really scary! Hope your midwife is wrong. I've forgotten how many weeks you are, but I seem to remember it was 30 something. They say that even at 28 weeks there is a 95% survival rate and at 32 weeks it's very good indeed. Hope everything is ok for you and baby. I can believe about the weight thing. I've heard that some women put on as much as 50 lbs! Good luck for tomorrow. I'm sure you'll be really busy if they do decide to take him out, but let us know what happens if you get time. Thinking of you.

Just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts. I'll be thinking of you and wishing you the best. Good luck, and try to be positive as hard as that might be. Please let us know how you are doing.

I'm 34 weeks and 4 days. Baby has a 97% chance of survival. Odds are in his favor.

I've had 2 C/S and after both I was out in 48 hours, which is the earliest my doctor would let me leave. As far as recovery is concerned, you are "good as new" by 2 weeks. I was quite sore for the first few days, and with each pa__sing day I felt a little bit better. I think the baby has the odds in his favor. I saw many NICU babies when my son was there (he had Transient Tachypnea, born full term) that were only 1lb. Although they are very tiny, they aren't at all scary to look at. Your baby is going to be 3x's the size, so I know, I just know he's gonna be fine. Hang in there and know that we're all here to support you. XOXOX :o)

That is really small for a baby at 34 weeks. Compared to other preemies he really isn't all that small though. Just think, if he is having trouble gaining weight in the womb, he will put weight on much faster outside. There is probably some reason, like the placenta is not providing for some reason, and he really needs to come out. Better to do it now because with babies like that they can die in utero without getting the proper nutrients from mom. Not trying to scare you, this is just in my career field and have seen it too many times. Your baby has an excellent chance if born any day now. Those NICU nurses and doctors really know what they are doing. Good luck to you, and one more thing in your favor if he does have to come out sooner, that will be less time for you to put on additional weight. I know how hard it can be to take it off and you do gain a lot of it in the last month or so. Good luck to you and to the little one. Just get all your questions answered before hand to help ease your fears. A normal c/s will keep you in the hospital anywhere from 3-4 days depending on your recovery. They can also wheel you in to see your little one when he is taken to the NICU and by the second day you should be able to walk to go see him yourself if you are doing okay. My best wishes and prayers go out to you and your's.

I have a calcified placenta, thats why he is small, he's not getting enough nutrients. The doctors did say that this will cause death, if he continues not to grow inside, thats why they will be taking him out. So if you dont hear from me over the weekend, then you'll all know why! I'll definately keep you all posted. I'm kind of worried, we have a first name, Gabriel, but still need a middle name, got any ideas? Poor little guy, I dont want him to only be "sort of" named!

Kelly - July 14

Good luck with the baby and I'm sure everything will be okay. As for a middle name, how about Matthew, which is Hebrew for Gift of God. Or Joseph which (appropiately) is Hebrew for God Will Increase?

All the best in your u/s tomorrow and I hope your baby is growing. But even if it's time for him to come out at 34 weeks he will be alright and just as adorable! I wish you all the best - good luck!

Sorry to hear about your baby being so small, but my boyfriends sister went through the same thing your going through...she had to have c-section a month and a half early and her baby only weighed 3.5 pounds, but her baby girl is the sweetest cutest little thing I have ever seen! She is growing fast and she is perfectly healthy. I wish you the best of luck with your baby but im sure everything will be fine!

I just want to thank everyone for their support and very kind words of encouragement! You have all been so nice! It's a wonderful change from the worrisome people around me at home! I wish you all the best with your pregnancies, just as you all have with me! But, dont think I'll be on here much today, gonna get some sleep, and do some housework, just incase something happens that I cant! Today is the big day, if nobody see's me on here this weekend, I'll let you know as soon as I can next week what the heck happened to me at the doctors today. Thanx again, you ladies are the sweetest!

Christina - July 15

Chelsey, hey girl. Email me as soon as you can and let me know what happens! Good luck, best wishes and I will be praying for you and that little one!! Christina
