Is it dangerous to sleep on your tummy. I know I wont be able to when it gets bigger... but I am not far along.. just wondering if it can hurt the baby. I am 5 weeks.

i am 7 months and with the a__sistance of body pillows i still can sometimes end up on my stomach in the middle of the night..it is perfectly safe although when the baby starts kicking he/she will let you know when to move by kicking it actually is a funny feeling when they do that. but to totally answer your question no it is not at all harmful to the baby to sleep on your tummy right now or even later on Good luck

Hi! I am going on 10 weeks with my 3rd. I am still sleeping on my stomach, but I do stop when I start getting a belly. Mainly because it is not comfortable. If you have a really thick, fluffy like feather bed that has a lot of give, you may be able to sleep on your stomach with no problems. I haven't met anyone who does though after they start showing. Most doctors will tell you it is best to sleep on your left side as much as possible. I am a stomach sleeper and so when I start getting big, I don't sleep well. I sometimes imagine a bed that has like a hole in it so I could sleep on my stomach! Anyway, pretty much whatever is comfortable to you! Congratulations!
