What are your reviews? We are considering making this purchase, but wanted to hear some reviews first. Is it worth the $$?

Hi Leann, in my opinion it is not worth the money. You have to be very far along to hear the hearbeat and even then it's difficult. To my knowledge it is not a Doppler, it is a heart listener. A Doppler is higher technology and can detect the heart much earlier. I rented one from storkradio and I love it. It's just like the one you they use at my doctor's office. You can record the heartbeat clearly, etc. It is however, much more expensive. Mine was $28 per month. This is just my opinion though. Maybe others have had more luck. You can also look at customer reviews on amazon.com. They are very helpful.

Hello. I have the BebeSounds Doppler and it picks up a lot of background noise so I have a tough time finding the heartbeat. However, I live next to a major airport so it will pick up a lot of noise because of that. When we found some quiet time it did work and was so neat to hear the heartbeat like at the doctor's office. Of course it will not be as great as the doc's, but it cheap and when you hear it, it's worth it.

I have a Bebe Sounds Heart Listener. I am 32 weeks and I have never heard the heartbeat with it, but I haven't been diligent in trying, I give up too easy I guess. You can hear other sounds but it is hard to tell what is the baby & what is you. Spend a little extra and rent a Doppler.
