Okay...I'm 20 years old and have been married for 7 months, my husband and I decided back in May to try to have a baby and I went off the pill...well last month we thought about waiting until we are a little more financially stable to get pregnant and I have NOT gone back on birthcontrol yet...we used the pull out method and tried to time things right. I SCREWED UP my ovulation time by a week and am now worried that I might be pregnant (not that I would care) I'm just wondering,..if I am...How expensive are babies? Thats the only thing worrying me at this point. Thanks for any responses!

Babys can get really expensive, My partner works and he gets around 17k a year. I dont work and i get the child benefit and working family tax credit. Plus i got the £500 when i was pregnant for stuff too. We are not rich but we manage on what money we have. We havent struggled yet and we have just bought our new house. Im not saying we wont ever struggle because 1 day we might. But its part of life and family having to find your own feet. I am sure f you were to have a baby you would manage. Please dont worry it all works out in the end.

Your welcome, but i felt exactly the same way as you when i found out i was pregnant. I was on the pill and was not excpecting it at all. I was scared if we could manage money wise. I have another on the way so things cant be that bad on what we are on. This one was planned. My lil boy will be 18months when this lil one comes along so he will still grow out of things quickly.and we will need to buy extra bits and bobs.
