Confused and Scared - November 3

I got my first faint positive last Friday October 29th, (same thing no the 30 and 31) I tested again today 5 days later and got a faint positive (dollar store bland) and a negative (1st response). Are my levels too low and thus, am I going to misscarriage? Please Help!

I got my first positive with the dollar store brand and thats was 8 days before my expected period! The second test I used was an Anwser, it went positive immediatly! Some people just have lower horomones at the beginning of pregnancy than other.

I knew I was pregnant, took 4 tests after my missed period and all were negative. Went to the doctor and same thing, finally 2 weeks later had faint test. HCG wasn't detected until 8 weeks pregnant! Pregnancy was normal-healthy baby girl! Try not to worry.

Like the ladies said, some women have slower rising hcg. It wasn't until nearly 2 weeks after a missed period that I got a faint positive. And it took 30-40 minutes to come up. Don't worry. And low levels do not always mean miscarriage. If you got a faint positive, the levels are there, so be patient. Go here and check out the sensitivity chart http://www.amazingpregnancy.com/weekbyweek/hpt.html. I got the AimStick tests. They are cheap and they are sensitive. They work! Also check out the post in the Signs of Pregnancy forum: Please Read if UR Late but Preg Tests R Negative. Read E's original post, and then Lily gives a uk website that sells a sensitive test for cheap. If you live in the uk, it should come in a few days. If you live outside of uk, it might take a a week or so. Just something to check out. If you are in the us and don't want to wait a week, I suggest babyhopes.com. OR www.at-home-pregnancy-tests.com. Those are a little cheaper and only take about 3 days to reach you. Plus they have a sensitivity of 20mIU, which is great. good luck!

It's ok. You're going to worry yourself sick, girl! It's probably implantation bleeding. Very normal and very common!! Just call your OB and ask him to work you in today, and get checked out. It's going to be ok. Don't be scared. I didn't have implantation bleeding, but a lot of women on here talk about having it. I believe it is normally dark like that. It's the bright red bleeding that is cause for concern... and even that's not always a sign of something bad. Just go see your doctor. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the support. I called the doc and someone will call me back. I ovulated on the 13 of October, so this cannot be implantation bleeding anymore I do not think, right? I am almost 6 weeks pregnant. I will post here what the doctor tells me.

I believe implantation bleeding comes around the time of the expected period. Because this is why some women mistake imp. bleeding for the period and think they're not pregnant. It is not too late for you to be having this. As a matter of fact, it's about that time. good luck

Oh great.. I started spottling last night/this morning and it's bright red :~( I am due for my period though.. but this never happened last month..

So if I ovulated on October 13 (had s_x on that date and prior), it can take over 22 days for the egg to get implanted?

Confused and Scared - November 4

My expected periofd was on Oct 26. M, I am 10 days late, I truly think this cannot be implantation bleeding. I did bleed a bit on October 25th, which I thought was my implantation bleeding. I am now even more confused!

m - November 4

C and S - If you were expecting your period on 26th, got light bleeding on 25th, THAT could have been implantation. This could just be something normal. Please see your doc. Don't be alarmed, but if you got pregnant around the 13th then no I do not think this is imp bleeding. It is my understanding it comes 10 days to 2 weeks after ov, which is why some women mistake it for period. I had my dates mixed up in my previous posts. Just call your doc and ask him to check things out.

The doc wants a quant_tative HCG blood test and also wants to know my blood type (positive or negative). 10 years ago a had a miscarriage and for some reason he wants to know of my blood in negative.

Yeah, there's something about Rh factor between mother and baby (negative and positive). I'm not sure about it all, but do a google search for "rh factor" and you should be able to find out what you want to know. I'm glad your doc is wanting these tests. That's good. Maybe he'll be able to figure things out. And you'll know exactly how much hcg is in your system. Good luck!
