Fetal Pull

I am 5 weeks pregnant and this will be my first pregnancy. I went to the doctor today and he kind of freaked me out. He said he doesn't see a fetal pull so he thinks i am going to miscarry. But, I was reading online that the heartbeat and fetal pull don't show up on a sonogram until 6 or 7 weeks of the pregnancy. I would like to think that my doctor knows what he is talking about but I am hoping that I don't miscarry. I haven't had any signs of a miscarriage. I'm still experiencing pregnancy symptoms.. tender/sore br___ts, nausea, tiredness, frequent urination etc. what do you guys think??

Was he able to confirm you were pregnant through the scan? It is usually too early to see a heartbeat at this stage and to be honest I don;t think he should be mentioning miscarriage unless there is good reason to do so. It will only panic you and until there is a reason to do so it wasn't fair. Get another u/s in another week or two and see what comes up on it. Unfortuantely sysmptoms mean nothing, some women will miscarry and still have morning sickness and others will have no symptoms at all and yet have healthy pregnancies. You need another scan to check for definite but good luck!

what hes talking about is a fetal pole, not pull. it is a thickening of what they call a yoke sac and the first visible sign of a developing embryo. it can show up as late as 8 weeks. good luck!
