Getting Pregnant When Period Is Irregular

Hi. I'm wondering about pregnancy and irregular periods. Is a period that lasts just two days and is light (one tampon/8hours) a "real" one? Mine usually last about 4-5. Could I get pregnant that soon to a period starting??

hi jordan, you can get something called implantation bleeding which is when the egg implants to the uterus. have you been trying to conceive?

If you read the question with the t_tle "odd periods", I am having just about the same problem. Up until 2 weeks ago I was having protected s_x. Now trying to conceive and no odd period yet.

It is possible to have lighter than normal periods and not be pg. But if you're concerned, go ahead and test. Also, I highly recommend charting in the future to help keep track of your cycle.... it will help you know when you've ovulated and that will be a huge help in knowing when af should arrive. Go to fertilityfriend.com for more details. It also has free charting software to use. Good luck!

Hi again, Sandra, Dee, Erin. This was my first time off birth control. The bleeding lasted only 2 days and is now a weird brownish colored mucus. Otherwise I have no symptoms yet. Is it too early to get pregnancy symptoms? My periods are so screwed up I can't use them to tell!!!!
