are any of you ladies taking your own gowns for labor and delivery? and if so wich ones? I went to the store the other day and had no idea wich ones to buy...with buttons? no buttons, short? long? no pants right? and can we have one for the delivery or you have to be totally naked?? anyone knows? I don't want to use the ugly ones that they give at the hospital that have all the back open for everyone to see!!

I am taking gowns for after delivery, but plan on wearing hospital one during delievery. I was given several gowns at one of my baby showers and the one I am taking with me is yellow, with 5 b___tons on the front and it comes down to my knees....Oh, it has a matching robe too!! Really Cute.....you don't want to mess up your beautiful nightgown during delivery do you?

They told me to take an old T-shirt, but mine are all so tight on me, I'd look ridiculous, so I'm taking a dark blue maternity night shirt ( so that the blood stains won't show up so badly) for the delivery, with b___tons in case I want to put her to the b___st straight away. Then I have a nice pastel green one to change into after they've cleaned me up. They're both knee length. I think b___tons are the way to go. It's important to have easy access to your b___bs. :)

They put you in a hospital gown for the delivery. You won't want to ruin one of your own. After you get cleaned up and can take a shower then you can change into your own clothes. I bought a long night shirt that b___tons down the front at Dillards.

Sorry curious! I just realised I a__sumed you were b___stfeeding. Of course, if you're not, I guess it doesn't matter what you wear. :) Didn't want you to think I was forcing my b___stfeeding views on you. Some people get really touchy about it.

Actually I am not b___stfeeding but the nightgown I found looked like it would be big enough it just happened to have b___tons down the front. Alot of the regular nightgowns didn't look big enough.

I had a hospital gown that was able to open in the back but it also b___toned up so not everyone got a look-I wouldn't buy anything fancy because you probably won't be taking it back home-they get pretty bloody and nasty!!

i am going to b___stfeed, I bought like 2 gowns already..cheap ones bc I know they are going to get ruined..also in dark colors but I am still not sure..they have no b___tons though..they are like normal gowns and both come with a robe..it seems like it would be easy to acces my b___sts if needed but I don't know..maybe I need to get diffrent ones? with b___tons?

You will probably want to (or have to) wear the hospital gown for labor and delivery. Mine untied on the arms (so it could be taken off even with an IV in) and had nursing slits (although your first time nursing, you'll probably need the whole b___b, not just part...). I wore a tank top with a built in bra underneath. It was great for some support and actually was all I was wearing when I delivered, so I wasn't completely naked (not that I cared at ALL!). The only problem was that the tank had gotten wet in the tub and I couldn't get it off because of the IV, so I was wearing a wet top for a few hours after delivery. Also, with my first baby, they gave me two gowns one the normal way, the other like a robe, so my b___t wouldn't be hanging out. After I got cleaned up, I put on one of my own nighgowns, but under the sheets, I hiked it up to my belly b___ton, so it wouldn't get bloody. I actually brought pajama pants to wear when I got out of bed. That worked, so my fake undies and giganto pad stayed in place and I wasn't showing my b___t when walking to the nursery. But, make sure they are really LARGE!
