My husband & I just started trying to get pregnant and I've been taking prenatal vitamins for atleast 4 months now and I also take a green tea supplement...is it o.k. to take the green tea pill? Will it affect my fertility in a bad way? Someone please offer up some advice!

all i know is that green tea has a lot of fluoride which isn't good for you in large amounts. not sure if it would be in the pill or not.

I just read an article in a baby magazine that green tea should not be used at all during pregnancy or before because it counteracts with you prenatal vitamin and can cause neural tubal defects in the fetus. The article basically said that it stops the folic acid from working effectively. I'd go to google and type in green tea during pregnancy. I also read on this board that it was also on the news last week as well. I would avoid it.
