Guaranteeing The Sex Of A Baby

Is there any way to guarantee having one or the other s_x? My fiance stated the scientific research was done to prove that the more s_x you have after getting pregnant improves the chances of it being a boy. I think he's crazy.

If you are already pregnant then the s_x has already been determined. S_x after you have already concieved in no way has anything to do with the s_x of the baby.

Thats what I told him.

Did he mean after you ovulate? There is research on x-carrying sperm and y-carrying sperm, one lives longer but swims slower and the other dies quicker but swims faster, but I can't remember which is which...if you have s_x after you ovulate, the sperm that swims faster will have a better chance of impregnating the egg...is that what he was refering to?

I think so. He wants a boy. We already have one. He says there is research stating that the more s_x you have after getting pregnant will help make it a boy.

Probably research done by men...it's a ploy for more s_x!

Hi, have you tried any of the gender selection website like fortunebaby.com or ohboyorgirl.com They can help you get what you want or tell you what you're having.

my advice.... - October 25

would be to tell hubby he should just want a healthy baby no matter if boy or girl and as far as having more s_x after your pregnant makes it a boy well I have never heard of that one and I am preggers with my 3rd boy....and to tell you the truth I did not do anything special they just turned out to be boys...good luck

Would have nothing to do with s_x after becoming pregnant. He probably means after ovulation. (And s_x right after ovulation WOULD increase your chances for a boy). The research that Ranya is speaking of is the Shettles method. It states that girls sperm swim slower but lives longer. So if you have s_x many days before ovulating, the girl sperm have more time to get through the fallopian tube and more of the boy sperm would have died. If you have s_x right before ovulating, or right after, the boy sperms swim faster so they are more likely to make it to the egg first. It of course does not guarantee anything. It simply improves your chances. Do a search for Shettles Method for more exact info.

Thank you.

Also you can look up Microsort. This is a more direct (but less natural) way than Shettles.
