Have To Travel

Travelling Girl - September 10

I think I have to take a long trip in my 7th month, about a 9-10 hour flight. I am really concerned and worried, and would like to know where I can find some information regarding the risks of long-distance travel during pregnancy, and things that can be done to reduce the risk if travel cannot be avoided.

I will be the same way when I hit my 7 month. My flight will be from South Korea to Nova Scotia, Canada. It's about a 30 hour trip total; as I'm going home to have the baby. Check with your doctor and the airline you are going to use; some will not let women travel late in pregnancy without a note from the OBGYN stating that they are fine to travel. I'm going to wear comfortable clothes, drink lots of water and bring snacks. Also I'm going to try to sit in the aisle so I can go to the bathroom easily and as close to the front of the plane as I can. You will be OK! :o)

There isn't really any risks. Most airlines won't let you fly after you are 3rd trimester without a doc note because they are afraid you will go into labour on the flight or something. =P
