Are heating pads ok during pregnancy? What about the hot tub?

It is best to avoid hot tubs and too hot of baths, sunlamps or heating pads and the reason is because your baby could be at risk for neural tube defects such as spina bifida if your body temp reaches over 102 degrees F. This is also true if you run a fever over 102. I know Hot tubs are especially hard to resist but please do, you only have to wait 9 months. Good Luck.
