Abby - August 15

I have been reading about Missa. I am so sorry about everything that has happened to you. I had an abortion just a few weeks ago and I am so still feeling pregnant. I have taken pregnancy tests in all and they are still coming up pos. I have an appointment next week to find out myself what is going on. Like Missa I had s_x only before the abortion, none after it. When we broke up I decided to terminate. Did not want a cheater in my life. I have read tht sperm can actually live up to and past 7 days given the right environemtn and that ovulation can occure from 12 hours to 4 days. That is what is creaping me out. That was the 1st abortion I have ever had and I am in my early 20ths. I will not do that again that is for sure. HM?

The pregnancy hormone, hCG, takes a while to leave your system. You would still show a positive for some time after the abortion. There is no way that you ovulated, got pregnant, with the embryo implanting long enough to show a positive, so soon after the abortion. Still, keep your appt for a follow-up. Best wishes.

Abby what ever you end up doing, do it for yourself. I know that right now I am freaking out too. the best thing you can do is not worry about it till you get the ultrasound. Get the forget about the blood work. Eis right hormones stay in your body for a while. Mine is tomorrow and I am hoping that there isnothing. I really am, then again my life has been a soap operah for the last 3 months so I am kind of expecting the worse at the same times. I was told that being pregnat is highly unprobable, but there is always that chance. If you had s_x after the abortion there might be a chance but dont they usally take everything out anyways. I am not too familiar with abortions. I wish you well on your endevers.
