I have accidentally spilt some hot soup on my tummy, not alot, juz abt 2 tablespoons, the soup was juz out of the stove... Worried... My Baby should be well protected right?

Yes. You have nothing to worry about. Did your skin blister? If so, make sure you put something on it. You don't want a skin infection from a burn, regardless of where it is on your body.

Was red went I juz spilt the soup, now its back to the original skin colour, but feels a little stingy. So long as my baby is well cushioned and safe I'm relieved.

I heard it takes a lot to disrupt the baby. I know you can take so many pounds of pressure if you are hit in the stomach and it's quite a bit before it does anything to the baby. As far as burns and so on, it doesn't do anything unless you were to get a skin infection, and still, I don't think it has anything to do with the baby but you don't want a skin infection as they can get pretty bad.

I went to a cla__s "Growing Together" the nurse that teaches the cla__s was telling us about a lady that was ironing clothes and burned her tummy. She said the baby can't feel it, but the mama had to get treated. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Hi Heidi and JB Thanks for replying to my question. I am glad to hear that my baby is safe and well-protected. Actually I do bake and cook alot before I got pregnant, but now I limit the baking sessions. However reading your replies has been very rea__suring. Thanks again!!!

When my mother was 6 months pregnant with me, she took her little cousin Trick-or-Treating on halloween, and her cousin was scared to death of spiderman...a man answered the door dressed as spiderman, she freaked out and ran full blast right into my mothers stomach...knocked the wind out of my mom, but I was fine..so what I'm getting at here, it take a lot to hurt the baby, and I think your baby should be fine, it's just a little hot soup :-)
