Is it safe to be going in to a hot tub when trying to get pregnant or can it even have an effect on the chances of becoming pregnant?

Hi. I have a hot tub and I know that when you are pregnant you should only use the hot tub for no more then 10 minutes at a time (it even had a warning in the instruction manual about it) but as for trying to concieve I have often wondered this myself. I am not even sure about taking a hot bath? I mean when you are trying to conceive you dont find out for sure if you are pregnant until you miss your first period or just before that and then the first weeks of pregnancy are critical so the hot tub should probably be avoided. As for it effecting the chances of becoming pregnant I really dont know? I cant see why it would make a difference to fertility but you never know? I'm quite interested now myself to find out the answer to that. I will have a look on the internet and see what I can find out. Speak to you soon. Lou

our first baby was concived in a hot tub. if your both in good health and not having fertillity problems there is no reason to avoid hot tubs while your ttc.
