I saw a thread on here one time from someone in ... Scotland maybe... that said there they can detect s_x at something like 12 weeks. In the part of the US I live in, we have to wait until 4-5 months... at least I did, both times. I think it depends a lot on technology. Even if you find out, don't forget it's not foolproof. I had a friend who thought it was a girl, so she painted/decorated the nursery pink, and she washed up all of the pink stuff she got at her shower, and then she had a boy. I think it happens more than way, than the other way. Because it seems like if you see a wee-wee, you see a wee-wee. But doctors get that one wrong sometimes too. I guess they must be seeing a thumb or toe! LOL So beware. Good luck!

hey there, im from scotland and they couldn't tell when i got my 12week scan but i agree with m it does depend on the technology. my midwife said there are lots better technology in america so i just think it depends on where you are. i did read somewhere that you can tell from 17weeks. my friend got told she was having a boy and she had a girl so thats why im not going to find out.x
