Oh girl. I don't know who told you that, but they are misinformed. I have had 2 children, both conceived the first month after going off BC. Both very healthy normal pregnancies with a perfect outcome. They say it's best to let your body flush out the pill, and that may be true. But I had no problems. Just remember everybody is different, though. In my own personal opinion, if you are fairly regular, I might wait 2 or 3 months. But I'm not regular at all, so I went ahead and started trying so I wouldn't miss my ovulation. And it worked out fine for me. Maybe it will for you too. Good luck!

I waited three months after I got off the pill to try to conceive, and I got pregnant right away.

i was off the patch for not even a month and I was pregnant. It all depends on your body I guess. I have been on the pill for years.

I have 2 friends who both conceived very shortly after getting off of the pill. Both had been on it for approximately 7 years and conceived within 3 months.

I was on the pill for 15 years. My doctor told me to wait three months after going off the pill before I started trying to conceive. I waited the three months. The fourth month we started trying & I got pregnant that month. All my girlfriends were also told by their doctor to wait three months as well so it makes me think it is common practice. Start a prenatal vitamin now though. Good luck!
