How long after conception does it take for the abdomen to get firm??How far along in the pregnancy do you have to be for your stomach to become really firm??

Your stomach shouldn’t be really firm at any point during your pregnancy unless you are having contractions (BH -false contractions- and labor contractions all qualify as being contractions). Your stomach will get very firm and as the baby grows you will be able to feel "firm" spots were the baby is (you'll feel the little b___t as a firm round spot and the back as a hard firm area), but your actual abdomen itself shouldn't be hard. It will become tight and stretched though. None of this stuff should be obvious until you are well into the 2nd trimester though as the uterus is small and completely behind your pelvic bone through most of the 1st trimester. By the way I'm 31.5 w and have tons of contractions that make it hard, but when not having a contraction it's soft. Even though I am normally skinny and now have a very large, very stretched, very tight baby belly.
