How Many Diapers To Stock Up On Trying To Get Ahead

Just wondering if other people are stocking up on diapers, and how many would be a good start to begin with?

Don't buy too many at first...get a big pack of size 1 and see how they fit. You may use 10 diapers a day at first. I had bought a bunch of diapers, then we had to go and buy a ton of preemie diapers, on top of what we'd already bought. We ended up using the larger ones of course, but I stored them for weeks before we could use them.

My brother and his wife had a baby 4 months ago, so I am going by what they recommended. They went through about 8-10 diapers a day and my niece was in size 1 from birth until 2 months... I think. I have about 250 size 1 diapers, most were purchased for me. And also someone bought a big case of size 1-2. These will get me through about 2 months. Plus I purchased 1 pack of NB diapers, just in case the size one is a little big on my baby. Hope this helps. good luck!!

Heather I was told by experienced parents not to stock up on anything unless there is a specific need to. There could be a couple of factors that could change your diaper needs, so you can buy them as the need arises. You'll need a pack of newborn size right away, and the hospital will give you the leftovers.... that's all we're getting. Two 24 hour drugstores are within walking distance.

I mentioned to my mother and cousin that I would like a "Diaper Well", at my baby shower, where everyone brings diapers along with a gift. That way I can have a jump on it!
