I know we have been through this tiem and again. But now i've gotten myself all confused. I am 18 weeks. So do I say I'm 4 months? or Do I say I'm 5 months, or do I say I'm IN my fifth month or what?

I count 20 weeks as 5 months, so your about 4 and a half.

That's what i figure too, but then I'm lookin gin my What to Expect When You're Expecting and it sayd the fifth month is weeks 18-22. I was a__suming 4 weeks=1 month. so months would be at 4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40 weeks. Now that I have read the book, I am all confused. And I can't figure out what months the book puts extra weeks in. When I read the book it all makes sense. & then I think but no, there has to be extra weeks in 4 months if the book divides everything up into 9 months when really it is more like 10 months or 9 completed months.

It is pretty simple if you look at it the right way. If you want to coulnt your pregnancy by lunar months then you just divide by four and that will give you how many months you are as a lunar pregnancy has ten months in it. If you want to go by regular calander months there are more then just 4 weeks in a pregnancy and it goes like this. 1 month(1-4 weeks), 2 months(5-8 weeks), 3 months(9-13 weeks), 4 months(14-17 weeks), 5 months(18-22 weeks), 6 months(23-27weeks), 7 months(28-31 weeks), 8 months(32-35 weeks) and 9 months(36-40 weeks). So at 18 weeks you are just at 5 months if you go by calander months and you are 4 and a half months if you go by lunar months. Hope this helps. :-)
