I asked this on the br___tfeeding forum, but no one is answering. How do you br___tfeed with a nipple ring? I know I will have to take it out, but how will it work since I have 3 holes? Thanks.

Can anyone help?

ouch. lol. I'm not sure how nipple rings work, but if it didn't go through the milk duct, then I'm sure you'll just have milk coming out of the one hole. But if it did pierce the duct, I'm not sure. If I were you, I'd take it out, then squeeze to see if milk comes out of all 3 holes. If it does, you might ask a lactation specialist what to do. Maybe you could nurse from the unpierced side, and pump from the other (just a thought, though). If it just comes out the hole it's supposed to, then I think you're good to go. good luck.

PS - You might also ask this question on the teen forum. They probably have experience with this. :o)

While it appears that you only nurse from 1 hole, you actually have many holes that the milk comes out of when nursed. Several milk ducts merge together and come out of 1 hole, which is so small, that you can't see it normally. Trust me, when you get a plugged duct at some point, you'll learn this.

i am not sure, but it shouldn't effect it any, ask your doctor.

My sister had a nipple ring and well the milk just kind of comes out from 3 holes instead of the 1.
