When you are pregnant, you are no longer just thinking about yourself in terms of diet, exercise, sleep, and everyday activities. Everything you do directly affects your unborn child. So, hopefully most women will refran from drinking, smoking, social situations where this is present, and so on. Once you become pregnant, you become a Mother and the lifestyle choices and social practices become all about your baby.

I like to think being pregnant has had little impact on my lifestyle and social practices. I don't smoke and I believe you can still go out socially. I've never been a person to enjoy the big dance clubs etc.. But I don't see anything wrong going to a nice Resteraunt and Lounge. I am two months from giving birth to my second child and even after having my daughter (first child)my life didn't change much. I believe it is just a matter of rearranging a few things so you can continue to do everything you did before. After my daughter was born, I drank again, but I made sure I didn't drink more than one or two if I had to come home to her. If I knew I would have more than that, I would have a family member watch her over night. I never want to be impaired trying to take of her. (soon to be them) I think most people (if they have a safe lifestyle to begin with) can continue doing the majority of the same things after they get pregnant, they just may need to approach doing it a little different. That is ofcourse with the exception of drinking and smoking.
