I Need Some Help Little Car Wreck

Ok, while I was out today and I kinda hit a car, it didn't do anything to his car, I have a little crack in my bumper, I think. I was only going like 30 mph if that. Please don't think I'm stupid for asking or anything, but do you think I should go to the hospital and make sure everything is ok, I'm 29 weeks. I hit a curb not too long ago and I hit that harder than I hit him. But, I always tend to freak out when something small happens!

Rachel, if you had an impact to your abdomen, then it isn't a bad idea to have it checked if you're concerned. Why don't you call your doc and ask?

I'm sure the baby is just fine. The mother has to sustain serious injury before the child is hurt....there is layers of fat, thick uterine wall, and lots of amniotic fluid that absorbs the impact before baby get harmed. So unless you are in pain then you should be fine. If it makes you feel better, giving you dr. a quick call may relieve your worries! Good luck sweetie, hope you feel a little better. =]

Good! I didn't want to mention it, but I had 2 wrecks, 2 weeks apart, both very minor, and then miscarried a week after the 2nd one. My doc said it had nothing to do with the wrecks, and I don't think it did. They didn't even check at the time, just said if there was no impact to the baby area that at that early stage everything would be ok. Since my morning sickness was all day with my other two (a decade ago) and I all most didn't have it this time after the first week or two, I knew it wasn't right so I agree that it wasn't the wrecks. ttc'ing again like crazy now. I'm glad you and she are doing well! Be Careful now lol!
