I Want To Know

I'm 8 days late, having cramps, peeing a lot and I've taken 2 hpt and they were both negative. Is it possible that the urine tests can't detect the hormone yet? If I take a blood test, is tha more accurate? I know there are a million reasons why I could be late, but I really would like to know stories of women who went through the same thing, thanks!

Im going thru the same thing now. my lmp was in june. I had a one day period in July and a two day period in August. I've taken like 7 hpt's with the last one being this past Sat that were all neg. I also went to the ER and took a blood test 4 weeks ago that came up neg, however, i have really sore bbs with a milk like discharge, white bumps on my nipples and darkened areolas and im starting to see some veins in my bbs. I have nausea w/ no vomiting, a change in my bowels, and my waist is getting bigger. not huge but my roommates and I notice the way my clothes fit differently. From what i've read Monica you can have many neg hpts and still be pregnant. For some women it seems that the hormone shows up late, but i dont know why. I pray for you and myself, b/c this waiting game is driving me crazy.

Nico, you're pregnant! Congratulations. You should be able to hear a fetal heartbeat about now. Read http://www.drspock.com/article/0,1510,9851,00.html ... Monica, I'll take a bunch of symptoms over a negative blood test any day. The blood test is more accurate, but even it sometimes can mislead. If you can add tired or sore b___sts or food aversions or bowel changes to your list, I would say smile! Don't forget to have the dentist clean the plaque form your teeth along with all the other pre-natal care

You really think so Viv!?! I wish I could just be FOR SURE..but in my heart i really do feel like I am preg. Im in a bad position b/c I dont have a regular doctor who I can demand do an ultrasound or transv____al ultra to confirm since my hcg is not confirming. could it have anything to do with the fact that im anemic? Also what do u think about going to an ER and trying to get an ultrasound b/c my benefits at my job wont kick in until December. From my calculations i should be 10 weeks.

Call Planned Parenthood at 1-800-230-PLAN for the closest clinic. They have a lot of experience and a very friendly staff.
