Is Cramping A Sign Of Miscarriage

I just got a bfp about 4 days ago, O'ed on 2/9. I have been having AF-like cramps in my lower back and front and also light shooting pains above the belly button. Is this normal or is it a sign of miscarrying? I am not bleeding.

Cramping in early pregnancy is normal. The only thing that you should be worried about is if you are having any bleeding a__sociated with the cramping. Other than that, congrats and relax and enjoy your pregnancy!

thank you, do you know how long it will last? Thanks so much for the answer :)

I had cramping for the first two weeks...it was especially in the ten days or so after my BFP.

I am 14 weeks and still having cramping exactly as you describe yours.

Was the cramping in your back? It is pretty bad cramping..

Tanna - February 27

yep, infact, I just posted on another board before I even read yours that it feels like mentrual cramps & radiates through my back. It's pretty painful, and usually lasts about 10 minutes before it goes away.

That is exactly what I have. How many weeks are you?

Sarahh - February 27

Nevermind lol you said 14 weeks. So this is normal and not a miscarriage?

Tanna - February 28

Well I'm not saying cramping isn't a sign of miscarriage, because it is. I hope and pray that is not the case for you, and I also hope that since you know someone else is experiencing the same type of pain you can relax a bit. This is my third pregnancy, and I have had these types of cramps every time, now that I think about it. I would certainly tell your Dr. about it, but try not to worry.

well im 18 weeks and for the past 3 weeks have been cramping daily. I dont think it ever goes away because the baby is constantly growing.
